This is not an office friendly scent. Actually not a friendly scent period. The tuberose is wild and dangerous. It’s seductive, animalic and smoldering. The white flowers shine bright but the spices and incense linger in the shadows ready to strike should someone get too close.

Madame Bovary is a person consumed by dreams of a higher social class and romantic passion, both promises perfumes like to make as well. While we read Gustave Flaubert’s ageless novel (first edition 1856) we understand her desire for freedom and love and at the same time must watch Emma spiral ever deeper into greed and narcissistic destruction. A perfume that mirrors the peril and thrill of desire, the fleeting cheapness of a „fake-it-till-you-make-it“ world and a representation of the hungry beast inside us all.

This piece of art/fragrance has been conceived and crafted by artists Gina Fischli and life long friend Clemens Hunziker in gracious collaboration with master perfumer Antoine Lie.
